In compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), this policy describes how Diskarte collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account info: Email, display name, password (hashed)
- Profile info: Avatar, payment method details (GCash/Maya/bank numbers)
- Task data: Tasks posted, offers made, messages sent
- Payment data: Payment proofs (screenshots), reference numbers
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, device info
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Diskarte platform
- To facilitate task connections and payments between users
- To send notifications about tasks, offers, and payments
- To resolve disputes and enforce our Terms of Service
- To improve the platform and user experience
3. Information Sharing
We share limited information between users to facilitate transactions:
- Your display name, rating, and completed task count are visible to other users
- Payment method details are shared only with users involved in a transaction
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
5. Your Rights (RA 10173)
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Erase your data (account deletion)
- Object to processing of your data
- Data portability — request a copy of your data
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (login session). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
